This is an Education-tier account, and that carries real conditions.
Education status expires and must be reverified. Higher-education verification lasts twelve months; bootcamp verification lasts six. When it lapses, the account downgrades to view-only on education teams — you can still see your files, but you cannot edit them. For a designer mid-project, that’s the worst possible failure mode.
Figma’s terms restrict Education accounts to learning and academic use. Paid client work and commercial projects fall outside those terms, and using an Education account for client work is the most common reason accounts get flagged. We’re not going to tell you it’s fine in practice. If you’re doing work a client is paying for, a commercial Professional plan is the correct tool and this isn’t it.
Figma Education is not available in every region. Several countries are excluded from the programme entirely.

What Figma Professional Features Give You
The feature set on an Education account matches Professional. Here’s what that means.
Dev Mode
Developers inspect designs, pull CSS, Swift, or Kotlin, and sync with VS Code, Cursor, Xcode, and Android Studio. Exact colours, spacing, typography, and responsive behaviour without going back to the designer for clarification.
This is the feature that changed how design handoff works, and it’s the one most worth having if you work with developers at all.
Figma Sites
Publish designs as live hosted websites straight from the canvas — responsive layouts, Figma’s own hosting, custom domain support. Good for portfolios, landing pages, and simple marketing sites without setting up hosting separately.
Still in beta, with hosting limits that suit small sites rather than high-traffic production.
Figma Make
Describe a layout in plain language — “SaaS pricing page with three tiers” — and get an editable starting point that matches your existing colours, fonts, and component library. It’s a first draft generator, not a finished-design generator, and that’s the right way to use it.
Higher-education Education accounts include 3,000 AI credits monthly. K-12 accounts don’t get AI features at all.
Figma Slides
Presentations built from your actual design assets, with interactive prototypes embedded and real transitions. If you’re pitching a product, showing the working prototype inside the deck beats screenshots.
FigJam
Whiteboarding for flowcharts, user journeys, sitemaps, workshops, and retrospectives. Sketch in FigJam, build in Figma.
Team Libraries
Publish components, styles, and design tokens once and have updates propagate everywhere they’re used. If you maintain a design system, or juggle several brands, this is what keeps them consistent.
Advanced prototyping
Multiple triggers, variables, conditional logic, interactive component variants, and smart animate. Prototypes that behave like the real thing, which is what you want in front of a stakeholder before anyone writes code.
Unlimited files and version history
Free caps you at three design files, three FigJam files, and thirty days of history. Education Pro removes all three limits.

What you’re buying here isn’t Professional — it’s an Education account with the same features and the conditions described above. If those conditions don’t suit you, the honest comparison isn’t Rs. 3,500 against Rs. 26,000; it’s this product against a different one.
How Activation Works
- Pay via eSewa, Khalti, Fonepay QR, or bank transfer.

- Change the password immediately.
- Enable two-factor authentication.
Important, and read this carefully: your source page recommended changing the account email to your own. Don’t, without asking us first. Education verification is tied to the institutional email on the account. Changing it can break reverification at the twelve-month mark and cost you edit access to everything in there.

Keep local copies of anything important. Export your work regularly. Anything living only inside an account you don’t ultimately control is at risk, and Figma’s failure mode here — view-only, files visible but locked — is particularly painful.
